Job summary

Wayfair in the United States is seeking a Home Improvement Specialist to act as a trusted project advisor. You will guide customers through renovation decisions, leveraging product knowledge and consultative selling to deliver complete home improvement solutions in-store.

Responsibilities include building relationships, offering tailored recommendations, and creating project quotes while ensuring a smooth, informative shopping experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in retail sales or customer-facing roles.
• 1+ year of experience working with Home Improvement products, in at least 1 category (bathroom, appliance, etc).

Responsibilities

• Build authentic customer relationships by asking thoughtful questions to understand project goals, timelines, budgets, style preferences, and installation needs.
• Guide customers through high-consideration purchases including flooring, vanities, cabinetry, lighting, fixtures, storage solutions, and other renovation categories.
• Drive project-based selling by offering personalized recommendations, quotes, add-on selling, and project planning.
• Build long-term customer relationships by supporting customers through multiple renovation phases.
• Deliver home improvement expertise across flooring, bath, kitchen, lighting, organization, and décor integration.
• Translate complex product details into customer-friendly guidance.
• Connect products across categories to create cohesive project solutions.
