Job summary

Lowe's Home Centers, LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Ames, IA to welcome customers, help them find products, and resolve home improvement questions. You will engage with customers across departments, assist with merchandise placement, and ensure customer needs are met throughout the day.

Responsibilities include assisting shoppers, stocking, processing orders, and potentially cross-training in other store areas. Prior retail experience and bilingual skills are a plus for this role.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience using a computer or similar device.
• 6 months experience with common retail technology (smartphones/tablets).
• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand/sit for long periods and perform job duties.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted (or with assistance).

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Assist customers in locating and handling merchandise.
• Restock shelves and replenish supplies as needed.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately and on time.
• Cross-train in other store areas to improve service.
• Prepare department merchandise for customer needs (e.g., paint, pipes, wood).
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
