Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to support the clinical team by organizing schedules, validating visits, and ensuring accurate billing alignment. You will act as a key resource for caregivers, patients, and administrative staff, coordinating physician orders with availability and authorizations.

You will manage Kardex and HR file updates, monitor census data, and communicate changes to supervisors.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of data entry and/or customer service experience in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Kardex based on physician ordered frequencies, durations and authorizations.
• Receives caregiver schedules and creates a master schedule for the next week.
• Schedules full-time benefited staff before using PRN staff.
• Verifies visits with schedules to ensure authorized frequencies and durations.
• Assists in maintaining HR files by collecting renewal documents.
• Communicates with supervisor about care delivery changes and census.
• Produces an accurate active patient census weekly or on request.
• Performs visit validation against orders and Medicare weekly frequencies.
• Maintains hold, discharge and transfer lists in Kardex and Novius System.
• Performs timesheet validation, visit code, patient signature and travel times.
