Job summary

UnitedHealth Group’s HomeCall arm, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment and provide patient education under the plan of care. You will implement exercises, monitor progress, and coordinate with the supervising Physical Therapist to ensure safe, effective rehab in a home-care setting.

Responsibilities include instructing patients, families, and caregivers; adhering to state PT rules; and contributing to a compassionate, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in the state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and access to a dependable vehicle or public transport.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care and treatment plan defined by supervising PT.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADLs, transfers, and mobility training.
• Observe and report patient responses; coordinate care with the health care team and supervising PT.
