Job summary

VitalCaring Group in the United States seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide home-based therapy, supporting patients to regain mobility and independence. You will work one-on-one with clients under a licensed Physical Therapist, delivering personalized care in the home environment.

This field-based role offers autonomy with guidance from an experienced PT team, ongoing training, and comprehensive benefits designed for work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license or state-required certification.
• 1+ year home health experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct PTA services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize modalities as appropriate and educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety.
• Document patient progress in the EMR and communicate with the care team.
