Job summary

VitalCaring Group seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to deliver dedicated rehab in patients’ homes. You’ll work one‑on‑one with clients, carrying out individualized plans of care under a licensed Physical Therapist to improve mobility and independence in the patient’s own space.

This field‑based role offers autonomy with PT team support, collaborative care with nurses and therapists, ongoing training, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law
• 1+ year of experience preferred (home health experience a plus)
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices
