Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to help patients improve mobility and independence by delivering plan-based therapy in home settings. You will collaborate with a supervising Physical Therapist to ensure high-quality care and safety during visits.

The role requires an active PTA license, graduation from an accredited PTA program, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A driver's license or reliable transport for home visits is essential.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• 6+ months PTA experience preferred.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and assist patient transfers.
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation for home visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services per the supervising Physical Therapist's plan.
• Assist patients to improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor progress and report changes to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy techniques.
• Instruct patients on safe use of assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics).
• Deliver safe therapy in line with physician orders and state guidelines.
