Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to deliver in-home physical therapy to patients in their residences under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. This full-time position offers opportunities for PRN work and a patient-centered caseload in the Charlotte, NC area.

The ideal candidate will hold an active PTA license, graduate from an accredited PTA program, and have at least two years of therapy experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid and unrestricted PTA license in state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• If foreign-trained, must be deemed equivalent to PTA entry level education in the U.S. by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the APTA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the plan of care with goals defined by the physician, patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and attending physician to develop, integrate, and manage the patient care plan of care.
• Demonstrates intermediate knowledge of home care and competency in discipline for specific patient care skills.
• Meet agency productivity standards and utilize time and resources effectively and efficiently.
• Complete documentation timely, accurately, and at the point of care, according to industry standards.
• Assist the physical therapist in assessing the patient’s physical disability and level of function.
• Maintain current license, certification, and clinical records to meet federal, state and agency regulations and guidelines.
• Participate in center/agency surveys and any required reports.
• Report any alleged or suspected violations to supervisor and/or others until resolved.
• Ability to be self-directed, prioritize, manage time, and meet outcomes and goals by deadlines.
