Job summary

PruittHealth Home Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide in-home therapies under the supervision of a PT. The role includes developing and implementing plans of care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring timely documentation and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a PTA credential, a valid license, at least 2 years of therapy experience, and a valid driver's license. Home health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid and unrestricted professional license in state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Foreign-trained graduates must have credentials evaluated and deemed substantially equivalent to PTA education in the U.S. by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the APTA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and implementation of the plan of care within goals defined by the physician, patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and physician to develop and manage the patient care plan of care.
• Demonstrate competency in home care and patient care skills needed for PTA services.
• Meet agency productivity standards and utilize time/resources effectively.
• Complete documentation timely, accurately, and at the point of care per industry standards.
• Assist the PT in assessing the patient’s physical disability and function.
• Maintain current license, certification and clinical records to meet regulations.
• Participate in surveys and required reports.
