Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide PTA Home Health services in patients' residences under supervision of a physical therapist.

In this role you will participate in developing care plans with the interdisciplinary team, maintain documentation, and ensure timely assessments. A valid PTA license and 2+ years of therapy experience are preferred, with strong communication and independent work abilities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid, unrestricted PTA license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Foreign-trained applicants must have credentials evaluated for equivalence by a recognized body.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing the plan of care within physician-defined goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to manage the patient care plan.
• Demonstrate intermediate home health knowledge and functional skill competency.
• Meet agency productivity standards and use time/resources efficiently.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation at the point of care.
• Assist the physical therapist in assessing patient function and disability.
• Maintain current license, certifications, and clinical records per regulations.
• Participate in surveys/reports as required.
• Report any violations to supervisor until resolved.
• Be self-directed, prioritize, manage time, and meet deadlines.
