Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for home health settings under Caretenders, part of LHC Group, within the Optum family. The role focuses on performing treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education per the plan of care, with a compensation structure including per-visit and hourly components.

Responsibilities include following supervising PT directives, aiding in exercises, and coordinating with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, or access to public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Following state laws and plan of care defined by supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercises and gait training.
• Observes and reports patient responses and coordinates care with the health care team.
• Instructs patient and family in therapy within scope of PTA.
