Job summary

VitalCaring in the United States is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to deliver in-home therapy, promoting mobility and independence for patients in their own homes.

You will work one-on-one with patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, develop personalized care plans, and use modalities and therapeutic exercises to reduce pain and improve function. A compassionate, patient-first approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law.
• 1+ year of experience preferred (home health experience a plus).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
