Job summary

Amedisys in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for full-time days to support patients at home under the supervision of a PT. You will deliver PT services per the care plan, document patient responses, and coordinate with the care team to promote safe, effective home-based rehab.

Qualified candidates hold a PTA license in the state, have a CAPTE-accredited program, CPR certification, and at least one year of PTA experience in home health or similar settings.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• One year of PTA experience, preferably in home health; mentoring may be required for less experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT.
• Observe and document patient responses and progress to the supervising PT and care team.
• Maintain patient privacy and accuracy of medical records; participate in care conferences.
