Job summary

Optum's Elite Home Health is hiring a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to provide home-based therapy aimed at improving patients' well-being under the supervising PT. The role requires Arkansas licensure and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

The PTA will instruct patients in active and passive exercises, assist with gait and mobility, document responses, and coordinate care with the health team in diverse home settings.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in Arkansas
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home PT provision and work under supervising PT
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re‑education, gait, ADL, transfers
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment; coordinate with care team
• Educate patient, family, caregiver, and health team in therapy within PTA scope
• Adapt to home situations regardless of patient demographics
