Job summary

Elite Home Health, part of the LHC Group within the Optum family, seeks a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to treat patients in their homes. You will perform treatment, educate patients, and follow a care plan under the supervising PT.

Responsibilities include guiding exercises, monitoring progress, and coordinating with the care team. Must hold Arkansas PTA credentials, license, and a valid driver's license; CPR is preferred within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of Arkansas.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Preferred: Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home PT services and perform only those procedures defined by the supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT, nurse, and physician; coordinates care as needed.
• Educates patient, family, caregiver, and health team on therapy within PTA scope of practice.
• Function in diverse home settings regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
