Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our home health team in Virginia. You will provide PTA services under a supervising PT, monitor patient progress and document responses to therapy while coordinating with the broader care team.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Graduate from CAPTE-accredited PTA program.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under supervision of a PT.
• Observes and reports patient response to treatment.
• Documents supervisory activities and patient progress.
• Monitors patient response and outcomes of interventions.
• Participates in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and coordinates follow-up care.

PTA program accreditation (CAPTE)

Education

Associate degree from CAPTE-accredited PTA program
