Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for home health. You will provide one-on-one, hands-on therapy to help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence in their homes.

You’ll work under a licensed Physical Therapist and follow personalized plans of care to support recovery and quality of life. The role emphasizes patient-first care, clear communication, and collaboration with nurses and the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law.
• 1+ year of experience preferred (home health experience a plus)
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
