Job summary

VitalCaring Group is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide hands-on care in patients' homes. You’ll work one-on-one to improve mobility, strength, and independence, delivering personalized plans of care in a field-based setting.

The PTA will collaborate with licensed therapists and care teams, document progress in the EMR, and educate patients and families on exercises and safety. A driving role requiring reliability and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law.
• 1+ year of experience preferred (home health experience a plus).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
