Job summary

VitalCaring, a leading home health provider, seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to deliver one-on-one care in patients’ homes. You’ll implement plans of care, guide exercises, and monitor progress to restore function and independence.

The role emphasizes hands-on rehabilitation, collaboration with therapists, nurses, and care teams, and ongoing education in a field-based setting. A PTA license and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current PTA license or certification required by state law.
• 1+ year of experience preferred; home health experience a plus.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed PT.
• Follow individualized plans of care to improve mobility and function.
• Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and device use.
