Elara Caring in Missouri seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home health team. You will implement treatment plans, support patients in improving mobility, and work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

You’ll travel to patient homes, lift and transfer patients as needed, and educate families on home therapy. We offer comprehensive benefits, retirement options, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program approved by the American Therapy Association
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment
• Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations

Responsabilités

• Provide physical therapy services per the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques to support continued progress.
• Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices, including canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics.
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines
