Job summary

Mountlake Terrace Assured Home Health, part of the Optum family, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide treatment and patient education under the plan of care. You will empower patients with exercises, gait training, and ADL support in home settings.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in Washington.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to function in diverse home settings with varied patients.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow supervision by the PT and the plan of care.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and mobility training.
• Observes patient response, reports changes to PT and care team.
• Educates patient and family on therapy techniques within scope of PTA.
