Job summary

Alternate Solutions Health Network is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for home health in the Cincinnati area. The PTA provides skilled services under a Physical Therapist, educates patients and families, and ensures safe completion of care with compliant documentation and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include delivering prescribed therapies at patients’ homes, communicating progress to the care team, and assisting in case conferences.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of PTA experience in an acute setting.
• Home health experience is desirable.
• Ability to communicate with patients, families, physicians and coworkers.
• Knowledgeable on therapy best practices.
• Detail-oriented and observant.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled PTA services in a patient’s home as prescribed by the plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient progress and reactions.
• Performs PT procedures and diagnostic tests as prescribed.
• Treats patients to relieve pain and restore function using therapy techniques.
• Documentation and chart audits in accordance with guidelines.
• Communicates with the team and participates in case conferences.
• Drives to patient locations and maintains timely visits.
• On-call participation and orientation of new staff.
