Job summary

The Christ Hospital Home Health Care is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant I (PTA I) to deliver skilled services in patients' homes within the Greater Cincinnati area. You will support the physical therapist plan of care, educate families, and document care in compliance with Medicare guidelines.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of PTA experience in an acute setting, strong communication, and sound clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of PTA experience in an acute setting.
• Home care experience is desired.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians and staff.
• Knowledge of therapy best practices and clinical judgment.
• Detail-oriented with disciplined work ethic and timeliness.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance in your name.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled services in a patient’s home as outlined by the Physical Therapist plan of care.
• Observes, records, and reports patient reactions, changes, and progress.
• Performs PT procedures and diagnostic tests as prescribed.
• Educates patient and family on therapy techniques, safety, and equipment use.
• Completes clinical documentation per agency protocol and Medicare guidelines.
• Communicates with scheduler and participates in on-call requirements.
