Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Mountaineer Homecare in West Virginia seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatments and educate patients under a supervising PT, contributing to patient well‑being in home care.

You will follow the plan of care, instruct patients and families, and coordinate with the care team. The role offers compensation including per visit pay and hourly pay, with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed/registered or certified to assist in physical therapy in the state of practice.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance or access to transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and the supervising PT plan of care; perform only procedures you are qualified to perform.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait and functional training.
• Observe, record and report patient responses; coordinate care with the health care team.
• Instruct patients and caregivers in therapy within the scope of the physical therapy assistant.
• Provide care in home settings regardless of age, race, creed, or disability.
