Mountaineer Homecare, a part of LHC Group, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver treatment and education under the supervising PT in home health in Charleston, WV. You will implement exercise programs, support patient well-being, and participate in care planning to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home PT; perform only qualified procedures per supervising PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfers, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses; coordinate care with the health care team.
• Educate patient, family, caregiver on therapy within PTA scope.
• Function in diverse home settings respecting all patients' needs.
