Mountaineer Homecare is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatments and provide exercise instruction and patient education to improve patients' well-being under the plan of care.

You will follow state laws governing home health PT, assist with active and passive exercises, gait training, ADL, transfers, and mobility, and coordinate with the supervising PT and healthcare team. Excellent communication with patients and families is required.

Formación

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsabilidades

• Follow state laws governing physical therapy in home care and perform only those procedures that you are qualified and trained to perform, as defined by the supervising PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, functional mobility, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician; coordinate care with the health care team.
• Educate the patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members on therapy within the PTA scope.
• Provide care in home settings regardless of patient background and ensure respectful treatment.
