Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering patient-centered care. You will perform PT procedures under supervision, document progress notes, adjust treatments within the plan, and ensure patient safety and comfort.

You will coordinate workload in the department, guide the Physical Therapy aide, and address age-specific needs while treating patients and families with dignity.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree in Physical Therapy assisting.
• Licensure: Current license to practice as a PTA in the applicable state.
• Experience: Entry-level PTA accepted.
• Certifications: Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering physical therapy procedures.
• Document patient progress notes and modify procedures within the plan.
• Provide technical direction to the PT aide and coordinate department workload.
• Address age-specific needs and report patient safety issues.
