Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering patient care. The role involves performing delegated physical therapy procedures, documenting progress, and adapting treatments within the established plan to meet patient status changes.

You will ensure safety, address age-specific needs, and report any patient safety concerns while coordinating the department workload and guiding the Physical Therapy aide.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree is required.
• Licensure: Current license to perform as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the Board of Physical Therapy in the applicable State of practice.
• Experience: Physical Therapist Assistant may be entry-level.
• Certifications: Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Physical Therapist in the provision of physical therapy.
• Document patient progress notes and conditions.
• Modify treatment procedures within the PT plan as patient status changes.
• Ensure patient safety and address age-specific needs.
• Coordinate workload and provide guidance to the Physical Therapy aide.
