Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, through Better @ Home OCA, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide treatment and education under a supervising PT in home care, improving patient well‑being.

The role follows state laws, requires driving and weekend availability, and offers a comprehensive benefits package plus a mix of per‑visit point and hourly compensation depending on visits and productivity.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days (preferred).
• Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting and mobility assistance.
• Availability to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care and work under the supervising PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercises, gait and functional training.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment and coordinate with the health care team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers in therapy within the PTA scope.
• Function in diverse home settings and provide quality patient care.
