Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Baptist HomeCare, part of the LHC Group within Optum, is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to support in-home therapy services. The role focuses on executing treatment plans, physical exercises, and patient education to improve well-being.

You will work under a supervising PT, follow state laws, and coordinate care with the healthcare team, while delivering compassionate care to diverse patients in home settings.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed PTA to practice physical therapy in state of practice.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle or public transit access.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow plan of care under supervising PT and state laws.
• Instruct patients in exercises, gait, ADLs, and mobility.
• Record responses and coordinate with healthcare team.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy within PTA scope.
• Treat diverse patients irrespective of background.
