Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow all state-specific laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care and implement treatment as defined by the supervising PT
• Instruct and aid patients in active/passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and changes to the supervising PT and care team; coordinate care as appropriate
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and health care team in therapy within the scope of the PTA
• Function effectively in home settings regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
