Penn Medicine, a leading academic medical center, seeks an Occupational Therapist to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and plan patient-centered OT care. You will evaluate and treat patients, coordinate referrals, and document progress to improve independence in ADL/IADL at home or during home health visits.

Responsibilities include initial assessments, scheduling revisits, and communicating with families, physicians and care teams to optimize outcomes.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from ACOTE accredited school required.
• PA OTR/L license required.
• BLS/CPR through AHA required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Car Insurance required.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, schedulers and managers to ensure optimal patient experience.
• Perform initial exam and evaluate data to identify functional impairments; schedule revisits and reassessments.
• Coordinate referrals to related services to meet patient needs and plan interventions.
• Administer ADL/IADL retraining, therapeutic exercises and cognitive retraining to restore function.
• Document prognosis, treatment, response and progress in patient chart; discharge when goals achieved.
• Provide supervision for OT assistant and ensure compliance with OT practice Act and policies.
