Job summary

Amedisys in Phoenix is seeking a part-time occupational therapy assistant to provide skilled OT services in home health settings under OT supervision. You will document visits, assess patient status, and support ADL/IADL goals with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

The role offers a flexible schedule and territory-based assignments designed to maximize meaningful patient impact while supporting work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant, state-specific.
• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OTA program.
• Eligible to take the NBCOT entry-level examination.
• One year of related OTA experience or regional leadership approval if less.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions in accordance with the plan of care under OT supervision.
• Documents each visit per AOTA guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Observes and reports patient response and condition changes to the supervising OT and team.
• Provides patient/caregiver resources for future ADL/IADL needs.
• Promotes wellness and prevention through occupational engagement.
• Demonstrates knowledge of community resources/services.
• Makes follow-up care recommendations with the admitting care center.
• Keeps current on OT trends and care coordination.
