Job summary

Amedisys Home Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide skilled interventions under the supervision of an OT. You will document visits, observe patient responses, and coordinate with caregivers and the care team to support ADL/IADL needs at home.

Requirements include state licensure as an OTA, ACOTE-accredited OTA program graduate, NBCOT eligibility, and CPR certification. One year of OTA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OTA program.
• Eligible to take NBCOT certification exam.
• One year of related OTA experience (or regional leadership approval for less).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions under supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Documents visits per AOTA guidelines for the patient record.
• Observes and reports patient responses and changes to the care team.
• Provides caregiver resources for future ADL/IADL needs.
• Promotes wellness and occupational engagement; coordinates with care center.
• Keeps knowledge of OT trends for service provision and care coordination.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
