Job summary

Amedisys is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our home health team in a part-time/day schedule. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of an OT, visiting patients at home for prescribed interventions.

The position offers flexible hours (about 20 hours per week) with competitive hourly pay between $33 and $38, plus benefits including PTO, medical plans, HSA and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate of an OTA program accredited by ACOTE.
• Eligible to take NBCOT exam.
• One year OTA experience preferred; if less, regional approval needed.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions under supervision of an OT.
• Documents each visit per guidelines.
• Observes and reports patient responses and changes.
• Provides patient/caregiver resources for ADL/IADL needs.
• Promotes wellness and occupational engagement.
• Keeps abreast of OT trends and knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned.

ACOTE-accredited OTA program
