Job summary

Amedisys seeks an Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide skilled OT services in patients' homes across multiple Massachusetts towns. The role supports patient independence with home-based interventions and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate of an OTA program accredited by ACOTE.
• Eligible to take, or has completed, NBCOT certification.
• One year related occupational therapy assistant experience required.
• If less than one year of experience, regional approval and mentoring may be required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions per plan of care under supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Documents each visit following AOTA guidelines for clinical records.
• Observes and reports patient responses and changes to supervising staff.
• Provides resources for future ADL/IADL needs for patients/caregivers.
• Promotes wellness and occupational engagement to support client goals.
• Keeps up with OT trends to improve service provision and coordination.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Current CPR certification

One year OTA experience

Education

Graduate of OTA program (ACOTE accredited)

NBCOT certification eligibility/completion

Current OT Assistant license (state)
