Job summary

Amedisys Home Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our patient-centered home health team serving Allegheny County. This part-time role supports the plan of care under supervision and helps patients regain independence in daily activities at home.

You will document visits, coordinate with therapists, and promote wellness through education and community resources. Requirements: OTA license, ACOTE-accredited program, NBCOT readiness, CPR, and at least one year of related

Qualifications

• OTA license in the state
• ACOTE-accredited OTA program
• Eligible to take NBCOT exam
• One year of related OTA experience
• If less than one year, regional clinical leaders’ approval & mentoring program
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Documents visits per guidelines for the patient record.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment and changes in condition.
• Provides patient/caregiver resources for future ADL/IADL needs.
• Promotes wellness and prevention through engagement.
• Keeps abreast of OT trends and care coordination.
• Other duties as assigned.
