Job summary

Angels of Mercy Homecare, part of LHC Group and within the UnitedHealth Group family, seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide therapy to patients in home care settings to restore their fullest physical ability.

Primary responsibilities include following state laws, implementing the plan of care, documenting patient responses, and educating patients and families. The role offers a comprehensive pay package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing occupational therapy in home care and the supervising OT's plan of care
• Instruct and assist patients in evidence-based treatment within scope of OTA and state laws
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment and changes to condition
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and health team members in therapy within OTA scope
