Job summary

Amedisys is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant for full-time work in the Portland, Oregon area. You will provide skilled interventions under supervision, document visits, and support patient wellness and independence at home.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the supervising OT and care teams, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to clinical guidelines and patient-centered goals.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OTA program.
• Eligible to take or have completed the NBCOT exam.
• One year of related OTA experience or approval for mentorship if less.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled interventions under supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Document each visit per AOTA guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Observe and report patient responses and changes to clinical staff.
• Provide resources for future ADL/IADL needs and promote wellness.
• Coordinate follow-up care with care center and stay current on OT knowledge.
