Amedisys is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our home health team in a full-time day position. You will provide skilled interventions under the supervision of an OT, document visits, and support patients in ADL/IADL goals in the patient's home.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate of ACOTE-accredited OTA program.
• Eligible to take or has completed the NBCOT entry-level exam.
• One year OTA experience preferred; approval/mentorship available if less.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions under OT direction per plan of care.
• Documents each visit per AOTA guidelines for the patient record.
• Observes and reports patient responses and condition changes.
• Provides patient/caregiver resources for ADL/IADL needs.
• Promotes wellness and occupational engagement.
• Demonstrates knowledge of community resources/services.
• Recommends follow-up care with the care center.
• Keeps up with OT trends and knowledge for service delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.
