Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Patient Care team (LHC Group) is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant - Per Diem to provide in-home OT services, helping patients regain maximal independence in daily activities. You will follow the plan of care under an OT supervisor, document patient responses, educate families, and adapt to diverse home environments.

NJ licensure and valid driver’s license required; CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Providing occupational therapy to patients in their homes under the supervising OT.
• Follow the plan of care and instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to the nurse and physician.
• Instruct patients, families and care teams in therapy within scope.
• Function in diverse home situations regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
