Job summary

Colorado Plains Medical Center Home Care, part of LHC Group within the UnitedHealth Group family, is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant - Per Diem to deliver in-home therapy and help patients regain maximal function.

You will follow the supervising OT's plan, document patient responses, educate families and caregivers, and adhere to state regulations. A current OTA licensure, valid driver's license, and CPR certification (preferred) are required or encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home occupational therapy following the plan of care and supervising OT.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and changes to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members in therapy within the OTA scope.
• Adhere to state laws governing OT in home care and document accordingly.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
