Job summary

At Home Healthcare, part of the LHC Group within the Optum family, is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide in-home therapy and restore patients’ physical abilities. You will follow a physician-approved plan, educate families, and document patient progress while complying with state laws.

Ideal candidates hold OTA licensure, a valid driver’s license, and CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing occupational therapy in home care and the supervising OT's plan.
• Instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within scope.
• Observe, record, and report patient response to treatment to nurse/physician.
• Educate patient, family, caregiver, and care team on therapy within scope.
• Function effectively in home settings regardless of client demographics.
