Job summary

UnitedHealth Group’s North Idaho Home Health unit is hiring an Occupational Therapist to assess patients’ functional status and care needs in home settings across northern Idaho, including Rathdrum. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement plans of care and support independence in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provides service within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing Occupational Therapy, in accordance with the plan of care, using evidence-based techniques, and in coordination with other members of the health care team
• Evaluates the patient's functional status and CMS documentation needs; consults with physician in therapy plan of care
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses and changes to condition
• Conducts patient assessments evaluating functional level using applicable tests
• Function in home settings regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition
