Job summary

BrightStar Care in Minnesota is seeking Home Health Aides to provide compassionate in-home care. You will assist with personal care, mobility, meal prep, and light housekeeping while supporting clients in maintaining independence at home.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and caring by nature.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Experience providing hands-on care in home health, assisted living, or similar settings.
• Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license with auto insurance.
• Negative TB test or cleared Chest-Xray.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation to improve clients’ quality of life.
• Assist with daily activities including meal prep, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Provide physical support for bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring and ambulation.
• Accompany clients to appointments or social outings, providing transportation as needed.
• Monitor health changes and report to the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.

Full-Time Home Health Aides provide compassionate in-home care to clients, assisting with personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, mobility support, and companionship. HHAs help clients maintain their safety, comfort, and independence while receiving care in their own homes.

• Premium Short Shift Pay: We offer a variety of shift Lengths ranging from 1 hour to 12 hours. Our 1-hour shifts get paid at $30 per hour and hour 2-hour shifts get paid at $22.50 an hour. Any shift 3 hours or longer is paid at a base rate between $19-$22 based on experience.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and conversation to enhance the lives of our clients.

• Provide physical assistance such as bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
• Accompany clients to appointments or social outings, providing transportation as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in the client's health, behavior, and needs.
• Act as a member of the Care coordination team to communication with the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.

Requirements:

• A compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience providing care to clients in a hands-on environment (Home Health, Assisted Living, Group Home, Hospital Setting)
• Reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license with Auto Insurance.
• Negative TB test or Cleared Chest-Xray.
• Availability to work 2 weekend days per month.
