Job summary

Generator Supercenter, Inc. is seeking a Generator Mechanic/Service Technician to plan work with the Service Manager and travel across Nashville, Clarksville, Hendersonville, Columbia and surrounding areas.

You will repair and maintain whole home standby generators at customers’ homes, using company vehicles and evaluating electrical/mechanical systems. You will read technical manuals and diagrams, communicate clearly with customers, and update the service software with job details.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with mechanical small engine repair.
• Experience with electrical wiring.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals, electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer residences using company vehicle to perform repairs and maintenance.
• Communicate arrival times, work scope and findings with customers.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair home standby generators.
• Follow manuals, diagrams, blueprints and procedures.
• Test and troubleshoot automatic transfer switches.
• Document services in the electronic software system.
• Adhere to all safety practices on job sites.
