Job summary

Generator Supercenter of Nashville is seeking a Generator Mechanic/Service Technician to travel to customers' residences in the surrounding area to repair and perform preventive maintenance on whole home standby generators using a company vehicle. You will communicate with customers and document services in our software system.

The role requires reading manuals/diagrams, following safety practices, and working Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm with potential weather-related schedule changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Using company vehicle – travel to customer’s residence.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding arrival, work being performed, issues resolved, etc.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on the customer’s home generator.
• Follow technical instruction manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and procedures.
• Test, troubleshoot, and operate automatic transfer switches.
• Document services are performed using an electronic software system
• Adhere to all safety practices and requirements.
• Along with the duties above, other duties may be assigned.
