Job summary

Credit Union of Georgia is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to guide members through the home financing journey, applying knowledge of lending guidelines and products to tailor solutions.

You will build relationships with members and real estate professionals, screen applications, coordinate with underwriters, and ensure a smooth, compliant loan process while delivering friendly, service-oriented support in a community-focused credit union.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of residential mortgage lending experience.
• Experience with mortgage lending software; underwriting or credit analysis preferred.
• Lives in Pickens County, GA.
• Strong communication, analytical and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Maintain active NMLS registration throughout employment.
• Commitment to exceptional member service and Credit Union of Georgia values.
• Associate degree or specialized business or trade coursework preferred.
• Willingness to learn, adapt and pursue growth.

Responsibilities

• Guide members through the mortgage lending process and tailor solutions.
• Develop referral contacts to meet production goals.
• Receive and screen loan applications; gather financial data and submit to underwriting.
• Coordinate with underwriter to ensure guidelines and conditions are met.
• Maintain servicing timelines and protect member privacy while delivering high-quality service.
• Engage in community relations and cross-sell Credit Union products and services.
• Participate in daily operations and business development activities to grow membership.
