Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, a long-standing carrier, is seeking a full-time Pick-up and Delivery Driver in Ohio. You will safely operate commercial vehicles, load/unload freight, and ensure timely, damage-free deliveries to customers.

The role requires a Class A CDL with HazMat and double/triple endorsements, 1 year of driving experience, and the ability to meet DOT requirements. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401k with company match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years or older.
• Class A Interstate CDL with hazmat & double/triple endorsements.
• One year driving experience.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Pass ACT road test.
• Flexible hours.
• Eligible for forklift certification.
• Familiar with hazardous materials procedures.
• Read, write, speak English well.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock.
• Record shipments using bills of lading and delivery receipts.
• Maintain records for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain professional relations with customers.
• Hook and unhook trailers and operate landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition.
• Fuel trucks and tractors.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
