Job summary

Citizens Bank in Johnston, RI seeks an experienced loan document specialist to review loan documentation for compliance with bank requirements. You will coordinate with customers, loan officers, branches, and other financial institutions to obtain documents and ensure accuracy.

In this role you’ll review titles, appraisals, flood certifications and income documents, maintain a processing pipeline and communicate status clearly to internal and external customers. Hours are 40/week in Johnston.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mortgage or home equity processing experience.
• Knowledge of DTI and LTV ratios and related reports.
• Ability to decipher loan documentation and reports.
• Read and understand title reports and insurance documents.
• Explain appraisal contents to customers clearly.
• Maintain a processing pipeline and meet SLAs.
• Strong oral and written communication with customers and staff.
• Thorough understanding of regulatory guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Proficient PC skills and basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Review loan application documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Interact with customers, loan officers and branches to obtain documents and review titles, appraisals, flood certifications, and income documents.
• Make welcome calls on new files and maintain call cadence to keep customers informed.
• Ensure documentation exists in the system of record and update status for reviewers.
